Friendly Faces

A Poem by Joe J Thomas

Although I see your faces daily
You’re nowhere near, most far away-ly
Photos that I view online
Read your posts to pass the time
You read mine too (at least I think)
Some are fun and others stink
Triumphs, ills, political rants
Your inner minds, oh, just a glance
I count many as my friends
Some past, some present… but in the end
My wish is primal. Shut it down!
Walk out the door, across the town
As Vader says at his demise:
“Let me look on you with my own eyes”
Here’s to all the friends I meet
On book of face, or in the street
I wish you well across the land
And hope some day to shake your hand

(hugs are good too)

  1. Morning, Joe. This latest post is a “love and hugs” poem πŸ™‚ , and it’s wonderful!

Mikayla wants to “meet” you and San San- says she can’t remember doing so.. eeek! You and I need to make a plan to rectify this …

Love and hugs( from sunny Columbus),
    Becky

Your little meetup group has definitely filled a void for me (and many others)
Looking forward to the next one πŸ˜‰
